The Under the Oak Jam is usually held on the first Sunday of each month from October through June (weather permitting), though dates may occasionally shift due to Mother Nature’s plans. Since this is a weather-dependent event, be sure to check social media the morning of the jam for any updates or alternate dates.
Bring your instrument(s), a chair, and a song or two to share! This is an open acoustic jam welcoming musicians of all experience levels — from first-timers to seasoned players. Not a musician? No problem — listeners are always welcome too!
While you’re there, take some time to explore the renovated and expanded museum and visit the historic 1898 St. Joseph’s Mission Schoolhouse for African-American Children, both offering a glimpse into Mandarin’s rich and fascinating history.
Come make music under the oaks, enjoy great company, and help us send summer out with a song!
