Friends, we have finally confirmed the date for the Celebration of Life for our beloved friend, Wingo Johnson.

Wingo was a longstanding member of our music community, and former President of the North Florida Folk Network. Wingo passed away earlier this year on January 18th, and is sorely missed. 

Fitting with what Wingo would have wanted, this will also be a potluck and jam to be held on Saturday, June 14th, from 2-5 pm outside under the oaks at the Mandarin Museum:

We will begin gathering at 2pm, with drinks, finger food, and whatever people bring available. The Celebration of Life will start at 2:30 pm, with members of Wingo's band, the "New Moon Ramblers" sharing some stories and songs as well as their CD they were recording with Wingo before he passed. 

After close family and friends have spoken, anyone present who would like to share a special story or sentiment, or perhaps even a song for Wingo and family will be given the opportunity. Afterwards, let's have a jam circle just like Wingo would love! 

Please bring finger food and/or a potluck dish and a song or two to share. Water, tea, and lemonade along with cake will be provided.

Folding chairs will also be provided, however you are welcome to bring your camping chair if you wish. Thank you to Brittany and the Mandarin Museum for allowing us to use their grounds for this gathering.
