Woody Guthrie Tribute Concert

We are excited to announce this year's Woody Guthrie Tribute will feature two award winning singer-songwriter groups: Bear and Robert and Patchwork Trio. This show is going to be a real treat!

This event will be indoors, and has sold out every time for the past several years, so come early to save your seat.

No reservations are required, though admission is limited to the first 50 guests. A suggested donation of $10 per attendee will be appreciated to help continue to bring you the best finest live folk and acoustic music in Florida.

Bear and Robert (ro-bear) are Cindy Bear and Franc Robert, an award winning singer-songwriter duo from Jacksonville, FL, and are what you get when you cross a Folkie and a Bluesman. Together their acoustic sound has been described as a deep well of Folk, Blues, and Americana with a high energy Je Nais Se Quois! With resonator and acoustic guitars, expressive harmonica, and a touch of banjo, their unique instrumentation brings together front-porch folk and Americana charm and the soulful grit of the blues. Bear and Robert have played Folk, Blues and Acoustic music fesVvals, house concerts, charity fundraisers, and venues all over Florida, Mississippi, Tennessee, and internationally. Franc has also branched out to tour from the Southeastern US to his native Montreal, Canada. Their albums, “Travels With Bear and Robert,” and “Hearts in Blues,” Franc’s solo and band CD’s, and Cindy’s solo CD “Start Over Again” are available on all streaming platforms. Patchwork Trio plays everything from original Florida folk, country and bluegrass to forties swing and rhythm & blues, all on acoustic instruments! The band hails from Gainesville, Florida, and performs at concerts, festivals, schools, clubs and parties throughout the state.  In addition to adding their feminine Florida flavor to special events at the Appleton Museum in Ocala, the Cummer Museum in Jacksonville, and the Sunday Sampler in Dunnellon, they have also been broadcast live on national public television and radio. They are a favorite at the Will McLean Festival and the Florida Folk Festival, where they have played for over twenty yearsFree tours of Stetson Kennedy's home are offered before and after the concert.
