NFFN Artist Showcase is presented by Ray Lewis at Mudville Music Room every month.
Bill and Eli Perras, the New St. John Rangers, and Stage 2 will be our next three featured artists in the February 2018 North Florida Folk Network Artist Showcase. The showcase features three NFFN acts every month, and the date this month has been changed to the first Wednesday of month.

The concert will be on the first Wednesday, February 7, 2018, and starts at 7:30 pm at the Mudville Music Room, located at 3105 Beach Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32207. Admission is $5 per person. Reservations are encouraged, so please call (904) 352-7008 to reserve your seat today.

Bill and Eli Perras are Americana Troubadours at Large. The many inspired lyrics given to and interpreted by Eli, combined with Bill's bluesy finger-style guitar playing create a very uniquely modern take on true Americana music in its purest form. Receiving much recognition for their tightly woven musical creativity, they humbly remain true to their personal values. They speak out with strong heartfelt lyrics, accompanied with a soulful genuine pentatonic voicing, against social injustices, corporate greed, and daily follies in everyday life. They can grip your heart, search your soul, change a mindset, or softly strike a funny bone, all the while leaving the audience with a sentiment for the common good we desire in all mankind. Hailing from North Central Florida, they are regulars at many Florida folk music venues and festivals, and frequently travel beyond the Sunshine State with their songs and stories.

The New St. Johns Rangers are Jacksonville’s own Laura D'Alisera, Scott Garry, Patrick Plumlee, and Eric Russell. Laura, Patrick and Eric got together a year ago through their shared enjoyment of Americana, bluegrass, and traditional music, and recently added Scott to the mix. Laura and Patrick are a husband and wife duo who have been part of the Florida folk scene for many years, and are active with the NFFN and Mandarin Museum and Historical Society. Eric is also a guitarist and half of the duo Stage 2, and together with Scott on bass, Laura’s vocal harmonies, and Patrick on guitar and 5-string banjo, they are sure to deliver a joyful and driving tribute to home-grown American acoustic music, old and new.

Stage 2 are Eric Russell and Stevie Bandana, who have been part of the Jacksonville, FL music scene for a long time. After years of playing in local rock bands, they unplugged their electric guitars in 2011 to go in a new direction. If high energy rock and roll defined the first stage of their musical adventures, Stage 2 would focus on tight vocal harmonies and acoustic guitar licks. Drawing on an extensive knowledge of acoustic and folk rock music, Stage 2 cover songs from the 1960’s to today, from the Beatles to Maroon 5, and from Simon and Garfunkel to Counting Crows. Stage 2 has performed in and around Jacksonville at the Orange Park Fall Festival, River Side Arts Market, North Beaches Art Walk, and many more.

This concert is sponsored by the Mudville Music Room, Ray Lewis Productions and the North Florida Folk Network (NFFN).
